The New Gaurunteed Issue national risk health pool plan for pre-existing health conditions now available
The children were running through the flower covered fields in Washington D.C. this past month as the Sacred Health Portal from the government gods has the federal guaranteed issue plan now available. One of the first steps in solving the problem of private citizens having too much money and the ability to spend it as they see fit.
The plan is available and you can get the application on line. Instead of having several pages of health related questions there are several pages of, do you qualify for this coverage and will you continue to qualify for this coverage questions. So this guaranteed health coverage plan is still being underwritten, it is just different underwriting criteria. It is not simply sign and you are in. There is a half page of questions regarding other coverage’s so they are looking for reasons to decline you for this coverage. My personal favorite is the one about the Indian Health Services. It looks like if you are eligible for Indian Health Services you cannot qualify for this plan. So the original inhabitants of this land that we took from them have been marginalized again.
Beginning rates for this coverage in Arizona are as follows: ages 0-34 is $323.00/month, ages 35-44 are $387.00/month, ages 45-54 are $495/month and ages 55+ are 688.00/month. So these rates are not bad considering it is for people with serious medical conditions who do not work for someone who has group coverage. But you still have to have money to do this (not free health care). Remember these are the rates before they have had to pay any claims. It will take a couple of years to see where the real rates are, and they will be more, unless they write the rules so very few people qualify, which has the same effect of the current health care system of not covering individual people with health issues.
Coverage’s: the first $2500.00 comes out of your pocket before you get any relief. Then doctor co-pays begin and other services are on an 80/20 split till you get another $5950.00 (not $6000.00 but $5950.00! Wouldn’t you like to know how they came up with that number?). This is if you stay in network, otherwise your out of pocket could be higher. It does not say what higher is and I thought we were not going to have limits on these plans? So they are using your wallet to drive healthcare just like an insurance company. Interesting. Prescriptions are fun as well. The range from $4.00 to$30.00 for “most” drugs.
Qualifying: to be eligible for this plan, if you are not eligible for another government plan, you have to have been with out health coverage for at least 6 months and with in the last 6 months been declined or offered limited (ridered) benefits from a private health insurance company.
