Merry Christmas from Mike Bow-Wow-Ski: Christmas is a wonderful and confusing time for me. I love the extra sweet and edible things that come into the house. The more opportunities I have to eat something the better. But then there are packages that have strange colored paper around them with fancy knots for some reason. They just kind of appear and are left under this stupid, make-believe tree. Geri and Craig spend lots of time hanging things on the limbs and putting these little lights on it.
The only thing Craig ever hung on a tree was in the backyard, where he hung these silly domed solar lights that glowed in the dark. He thought it was pretty cool having a number of these glow every evening and look like UFOs? Sometimes he does dumb stuff like that.
Later under this artificial tree, piles of wrapped boxes appear, and those little short two legged creatures come over, and everyone starts opening the boxes — since they seem to be assigned to different people to open. Occasionally one of these is assigned to me or Aldo, and there are dog toys and treats for him and I inside.
Aldo and I both spend a lot of time sniffing the wrapped things to see which is mine, so I can open it. If I smell anything edible, it has to be mine, so I tear it open when Craig is not around. Here is hoping that some of those wrapped packages that are assigned to you might have some really great squeak toys and chewy things inside.
Check out more of my musings here.
